Intuit Announces Judges for Tax & Accounting Grants

Intuit has announced the selection of judges for its Power to Get More Done
initiative, a program that gives accounting professionals looking to start new
firms or grow existing practices the chance to win $10,000 in cash and up to
$10,000 in products and services. Grants totaling up to $200,000 will be awarded
to 10 deserving professionals and firms from May through July 2009. The deadline

Among the seven judges selected to make the award decisions is Randy Johnston,
a well-known thought leader within the profession and a long-time columnist
for The CPA Technology Advisor. Johnston is executive vice president and partner
of K2 Enterprises and Network
Management Group, Inc. The nationally recognized educator and consultant
has more than 30 years experience in strategic technology planning, systems
and network integration, accounting software selection, business development
and management, disaster recovery and contingency planning, and process engineering.

Others named to the panel of judges are consultant L. Gary Boomer, CPA; Astrid
M. Arola, CPA and member of the National Society of Accountants; Sarah A. Fahey,
EA; Dave Levine, EA; Steve Blundell, CPA; and Georg Gerstenfeld, VP of marketing
for Intuit’s Accounting Professionals Division.
